Most of us are aware that social media is a great opportunity to put our business in front of more people. Hootsuite is perhaps the best known social media management tool and the one used by many SEO companies. There are two versions available, a free version and a paid version which naturally offers more features and functions.
The main advantage of using this type of program is that it allows you to access all your social media feeds in one place. You can schedule posts, monitor what you have posted as well being informed about any incoming messages. These features will undoubtedly save you lots of time when it comes to sharing content and replying to posts.
Buffer is a simpler version of Hootsuite and is used more for scheduling social media posts but it does provide a certain amount of feedback. The user needs to input a series of updates and the app then takes care of the rest, simple but saves a lot of time.
IFTT stands for “If This, Then That” and allows the system to respond to certain triggers therefore managing your social media posts. One of its most useful functions is sending out an email or social media notification every time you post a blog. Again, this saves time and reduces repetition.
It is fair to say that these platforms aren’t the definitive answer but they certainly help. They are more appropriate for people who already understand social media but are perhaps short of time to arrange and organise their posts. The downside is that you will have to learn how to use the platforms which in itself is time consuming and you may duplicate your efforts initially. You will need to weigh up the pros and cons of using such a system and whether they would fit into your business model.
